A rich history in home building…
Bringing truly remarkable homes to life requires experience, dedication, and care. At Robert Sanders Homes, we’ve got all of those things in abundance – and we’re proud to have been building custom homes for families around Houston since 1993.
We’re genuinely invested in every tiny detail of your home. We’ll always go above and beyond to ensure your space functions in a way that supports your family’s lifestyle and brings you that joyful sense of home from the moment you step through the door.
Each home is anchored on a robust foundation of impeccable craftsmanship, top-notch materials, and an unwavering dedication to guide the project from its inception to a completed home.
At Robert Sanders Homes, we believe your home should be your sanctuary - a space that exudes comfort, peace, and tranquility. However, we understand that the process of building a home has long been seen as a stressful and overwhelming experience.
By harmonizing clear communication, skilled craftsmanship, and a commitment to your satisfaction, we aim to bring a fresh perspective to the process. Our goal is to make building your dream home as enjoyable as the many happy years you'll spend there with your family.
Exceptional homes built by our family for yours
Meet the Robert Sanders Homes Team
As a family-owned and operated business, it goes without saying that family is at the core of everything we do. In the '90s, Robert founded the business, and in 2005 was joined by his sister, Heidi, infusing her role with a love for design and collaborative passion. A few years down the line, Kevin, Heidi's husband, also became an integral part of our team.
You can count on us to treat your family as one of our own when we’re building your home so that it feels high-end and sophisticated yet deeply personal to you.
Robert Sanders
Founder
Robert has had a lifelong love of building, crafting playhouses for fun as a kid and taking on construction and landscaping jobs as a teenager to make money to pay for his education.
With his passion for creating and constructing, he went on to study Construction Science at Texas A&M University. Later, Robert worked in commercial concrete construction for a short time before founding Robert Sanders Homes in 1993, just two years after graduating.
Passionate about taking the time and care required to build truly magnificent homes, Robert ensures the same level of detail is paid to each home that he is fortunate enough to work on. There is no challenge he is unwilling or unable to take-on, and his ability to problem solve is unmatched. Whether it be a complex foundation or complicated frame, he is ready and willing to figure out the plan and get it implemented so that the finished product matches the vision of the design.
Heidi Walton
Project Manager & Designer
Heidi holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. She grew up watching her older siblings, including Robert, work with their parents to restore the 1864 farmhouse in which she grew up.
This spurred an early interest in historic preservation and residential design. She went on to study historic preservation in Mexico during her time at U of H and has become particularly interested in Mid-Century Modern design. She joined RSH in 2005, newly graduated from Texas A&M, and has taken on many roles throughout her time with the company.
In addition to collaborating on design, she can often be found working with subcontractors out in the field or handling day to day company management in the office. However, her main focus is working one on one with clients to help with selections, scheduling, answering any and all questions, and keeping budgets on track.
Kevin Walton
Architect & Project Manager
Kevin holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston (where he was valedictorian) and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. Prior to joining RSH in 2011, he worked on multiple cultural and institutional buildings with Gund Partnership in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
After returning to Houston, he joined the team at Glassman Shoemake Maldonado Architects, focusing on high-end residential and small commercial projects. While his career started behind a desk focusing mainly on the design of buildings, Kevin enjoys having the opportunity to see an entire project through from the first sketch on a notepad until the final coat of paint is put on the wall.
On any given day you may find Kevin in the office drafting the latest floor plan for a client, out in the field coordinating locations for an MEP rough-in, or on a job site installing hardware.
